Ele serve como a funda\u00e7\u00e3o fundamental para os componentes eletr\u00f4nicos e circuitos montados no PCB. Os materiais base s\u00e3o normalmente entregues aos fabricantes de PCB na forma de pain\u00e9is, que s\u00e3o ent\u00e3o cortados no tamanho adequado para a fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o do PCB. Esses materiais v\u00eam em v\u00e1rios tipos, cada um possuindo caracter\u00edsticas e propriedades \u00fanicas que podem impactar a funcionalidade e o desempenho do PCB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um material de base comumente utilizado \u00e9 a fibra de vidro com ep\u00f3xi, conhecido como FR4. O FR4 \u00e9 um material retardador de chama que oferece boas propriedades de isolamento el\u00e9trico e resist\u00eancia mec\u00e2nica. Est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel em duas formas: n\u00facleo (cobre revestido) e prepreg. A forma de n\u00facleo do FR4 consiste em uma camada de fibra de vidro revestida de cobre, onde a camada de cobre \u00e9 gravada para criar o padr\u00e3o de circuito desejado.
