What is BT-Epoxy
BT-Epoxy is a type of epoxy resin commonly used in the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) industry for fabricating printed circuit boards. It is a mixture of epoxy resin and BT resins, which are composed of bismaleimide and cyanate ester. BT-Epoxy is known for its exceptional electrical and mechanical properties, as well as its excellent thermal resistance.
One of the key advantages of BT-Epoxy is its high glass transition temperature (Tg), which refers to the temperature at which the epoxy transitions from a rigid to a flexible state. BT-Epoxy can achieve very high Tg values of up to 300 degrees Celsius, ensuring dimensional stability and preventing warping or distortion of the PCB under varying temperature conditions.
BT-Epoxy also exhibits a low dielectric constant, which means it has low electrical conductivity and acts as an effective insulator. This property is crucial for preventing signal interference or loss in the interconnection of printed circuit boards.
