What is Circuit

A circuit is a complete path or loop through which electric current can flow. It is a fundamental component of electronic devices and systems, responsible for the transmission and control of electrical signals. A circuit board, also known as a PCB, is a flat board made of a non-conductive material, typically fiberglass, with a layer of copper foil laminated onto it. The copper foil is etched to create the desired circuit pattern, which includes traces, pads, and other features necessary for the proper functioning of electronic components.

The traces on a circuit board act as pathways for the flow of electrical current between different components, such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, and integrated circuits. These components are soldered onto the circuit board, and the traces provide the necessary electrical connections between them.

Circuits can vary in complexity depending on the specific application or functionality required. They can be simple or complex, and they play a crucial role in the field of electronics by facilitating the transfer and manipulation of information. Circuit boards are considered the foundation of all electronics and are essential for the functioning of various electronic equipment.
