What is Edge Connector

Edge connectors require mechanical force to be inserted into their sockets. However, there are also alternatives available that utilize zero insertion force, allowing for easier insertion without applying mechanical force.
Edge connectors are cost-effective, as they only require a single female connector, with the male connector formed out of the edge of the PCB itself. They are also simple, robust, and durable, contributing to their reliability. Edge connectors can be considered a direct extension of the PCB, allowing for easy connection and disconnection.
